Supporting a family in transition

We’re excited to share how our church community has united to support a mother and her two young daughters as they transition from a women’s shelter into their own apartment. With generous donations from our congregation, we gathered essential furnishings—beds, dressers, a couch, and more—to help fill their new home.

In addition, our Just Right Outreach team allocated $500 to cover a few gaps, allowing us to purchase a bed frame, new mattress pads, pillows, and bedding. This effort involved the dedication of around 11 different individuals and families from our church, showcasing the incredible spirit of our community.

Unfortunately, the move initially scheduled for Labour Day had to be postponed due to an unexpected issue—the apartment was infested with cockroaches! As of September 9, we’re still waiting to move forward, but we’re ready to deliver the furnishings as soon as the family is set to go.

Thank you to everyone who has played a part in this project. Your kindness and support make a real difference in the lives of those in need, and we look forward to helping this family settle into their new home soon! 🌟❤️

Mops, Brooms and Vacuums Donated to Women in Crisis

As a church, we were able to make a meaningful contribution to the Guelph Wellington Women in Crisis. We purchased four each of mops, brooms, and vacuums to help support women transitioning into new homes after fleeing abusive situations. While care packages often focus on essentials, household cleaning tools are frequently overlooked. Our aim is to provide these women with the tools they need to create a fresh start in their new spaces. Together, we can make a positive impact on their journeys toward independence and healing. Thank you for your continued support in our mission! 💪❤️
